The Growth
Factor Story
Growth Factor was born from one desire – to do more for our clients.
Growth Factor Consultants exist to support people to become more successful and have more significant lives. We believe that what we do creates value for companies. We also receive feedback on how what we teach impacts families, communities, and ripple out to everywhere where our delegates go.
Growth Factor Consultants started on this mission in 2019, six months before Covid brought us to a standstill. With the support of clients who believed in the value we added, we survived Covid and when the time was right we were ready. Our Online Virtually Facilitated workshops had such a positive impact the by the end of 2022, Jacques had to train eight new facilitators, all over the country, to keep up with the demand. While many clients are moving back to face-to-face workshops, the benefits of our virtual facilitation still makes it a popular choice.
Behaviour change
is our business
Behaviour change is our business, and the supervisors, foreman, managers and specialists who attend our training go back to the workplace with a new mindset, new skills and new behaviours. We create lasting change using our knowledge in fields like Neuroscience, RBT, RBWT, and NLP.
The Growth Factor Team
Each of our team members were selected after they completed our proprietary training. They belong to our team not only because they have demonstrated their abilities to apply our behaviour changing methods, but especially because they share our passion.
Jacques van Rensburg

Jacques van Rensburg is the owner of Growth Factor Consultants and a facilitative trainer with more than 20 years of experience in Learning and Development. He has worked with listed and unlisted companies in South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Tanzania and the UK.
He is recognised for his expertise in behaviour changing facilitation using neuroscience techniques. He has expertise in Executive Team Coaching, Strategy Facilitation and Mediation. Since starting Growth Factor Consultants he has been exploring ways to merge AI and Virtual Reality to accelerate learning experiences.
Marna van Rensburg
Marna is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Growth Factor Consultants. Her efficiency and exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills guarantee that our clients get the best possible service. She plays a major role in developing material, liaising with clients, managing the facilitators and organising workshops. Her knowledge and experience gained while working in public relations, as executive PA and as teacher in South Africa and the UK are all applied to make sure clients receive exceptional service from Growth Factor.
Fatima Ravat

Fatima is an entrepreneur, experienced Human Resources Executive and an enthusiastic trainee Barista. Having spent twenty years in the corporate environment, she now spends her time working with leading organisations to guide their teams to leverage change and disruption.
Her studies in Engineering and Psychology enable her to simplify the science of why we create the patterns we do – where they come from, and how to change them to amplify results.
Ilze-Meri Eksteen

Ilze-Meri is inspired by future possibilities and leaving a positive imprint on those she comes in contact with. She is known for her vibrant energy and passion for people, animals and nature alike.
With 15 years experience in the retail sector across various roles, including Operations, Learning & Development and HR, she brings a unique take on business and people dynamics that drive healthy and balanced teams.
Her life purpose is to bravely seek out opportunities for growth by creating platforms for People Development.
Ané Carelsen
Growth Factor Facilitator |
Ané Carelsen has been working in the fields of training, development, psycho-social therapy, and group facilitation for more than 27 years. She obtained her BA Social Work Honours Degree Cum Laude in 1992 at UP. In 1990 Ané also obtained her Licentiate in Speech & Drama from the Academy for Drama Art. She is also an accredited Assessor and Moderator, as well as a Meta NLP Practitioner. Ané is registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
Johnathan Phyfer

Johnathan Phyfer looks for ways to find the most practical, and tangible ways to add value to every person he engages with. With an authentic and vulnerable approach, he shares and finds ways to create what is needed to build a quality work-life balance. With over 15 years of experience fulfilling the role of facilitative trainer, and business coach in various African countries as well as South Africa, Johnathan wants to build a communicative connection with every audience, to ensure that the connective skills and concepts make sense.
Liezl la Grange

Liezl La Grange is a seasoned and vibrant Human Resource Professional with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the travel and tourism industry. She obtained her National Diploma in Tourism Management at NMU in 2007. She predominantly worked in the world of car rental for 10+ years where she climbed the corporate ladder up to Management. This is where she gained her experience in leading and coaching a diverse group of people.
Chané Swart

Chané has always been interested in helping individuals reach their full potential. From a young age, she has been interested in equipping and assisting people in discovering new possibilities and abilities and thus pursued a career to do this. She holds a BCom Industrial Psychology degree as well as an Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology from Stellenbosch University.
She is currently studying towards a MTh degree at Stellenbosch University. Her passions are Equipping, Growing and Making an impact.
Yvette Murray-vanAntwerpen
Business Development Manager & Facilitator | Yvette’s true passion lies in empowering people. Her aim is to support individuals and teams as they navigate change, embrace growth, and amplify their influence for lasting success. She has 22 years of experience in the Financial Markets, working across all asset classes with major banks and Asset Managers throughout Africa. She served as a dedicated Client Relations leader who trained, sold, and retained financial and securities software clients before transitioning into Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) software solutions within the same industry.
Cathy Theunissen
Cathy Theunissen is a skilled Facilitator and Lumina Practitioner with extensive experience in the education industry. With a strong background in Talent Management, E-Learning, Mentoring, and Learning Management, Cathy has successfully implemented various training interventions and development programs. She has a proven track record of fostering self-awareness and personal growth among learners and professionals.
Melissa Roos
Adult Learning Specialist, Coach & Facilitator - Melissa Roos is a seasoned adult learning and development professional with more than 26 years’ experience in the corporate and personal development space. She is a qualified ODETEP (Occupational Directed Education, Training and Development Practices) practitioner, an experienced facilitator, and an ICF-accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
Pauline Legodi
Pauline is a strategic Human Resources Consultant, training facilitator, and dispute resolution specialist with a passion for transforming workplaces through practical, people-centred solutions. She brings extensive experience across industries including logistics, mining, engineering, and professional services. Pauline is known for her ability to translate complex labour relations, compliance, and people challenges into clear, actionable strategies that drive performance, accountability, and constructive engagement.
